Your safety is very important to Lifeline24 which is why we provide you with life-saving personal alarm systems. Your security is also important to us, so alongside these alarms we also have a selection of key safes on offer for you to have at your home.
Our blog today will introduce Key Safes and their purpose before explaining everything that you need to know about the three Key Safes you can purchase from us.
Key Safes
Key Safes are a secure storage device for your keys. These can include house keys, garage keys or shed keys, just to name a few. Key Safes have been manufactured to help improve the security of your home and to stop you from having to leave your spare keys under the door mat.
This is a situation that everybody has likely encountered at some point in their life. You are not going to be home in time for when your family members or close friends are popping round, so you leave your key under a plant pot or door mat. Of course you may think that only the people you have told will know where the keys are. However this idea is so commonplace that criminals can easily try their luck and see if your keys are under the mat.
Key Safes allow you to store your spare keys in a secure storage compartment. This compartment is protected by a security code chosen by you. By having one of these devices you can be sure that your house is secure when you are away. Furthermore, you will know that only people selected by you can access the keys to your home.
Keys Safes are also very useful for those who have one of our personal alarms. If you have both of these devices then we ask that you provide us with your security code to the Key Safe. If an incident occurs at your home then our Response Team can provide the paramedics with the code so that they can enter your house immediately without having to cause any damage.
Outside Security Key Safe
This is the smallest Key Safe that we have on offer but it still acts as a great security device for your home. The Outside Security Key Safe features a 10-digit buttoned key pad, which can allow you to set a code between 3 and 10 digits long.
The device is also water resistant. Due to its small size and weight it can be placed closer to your front or back door – depending on your preference. Its sleek black design means that it will not ruin the look of your home and won’t really be recognised by onlookers.
This Key Safe will allow you to store one spare front or back door key. Family or friends can only access it with your selected code. Don’t forget to write down your code when you set it so that you don’t forget it.
The Outside Security Key Safe is available for the small price of €24.00.
Yale Y500
The Y500 is manufactured by Yale, who are known for their great security products. You may have seen their name on padlocks, CCTV, and window locks. Before you even choose to purchase this device, you know that you are choosing a respectable company who know what they are doing when it comes to security.
The Yale Y500 features a strong die-cast body. It also has a weather resistant case to help shield your device from the effects of bad weather, such as rust and leaks.
This Key Safe can store up to three keys in its storage compartment, which sits behind a 4-digit rolling combination lock. This code can be changed if you wish to for any reason. Instructions and the fittings required to install your device come inside the box. You will require your own tools, however. These are a screwdriver, a level, a drill and the relevant drill bit.
The Y500 is lightweight compared to some other Key Safes but with its concealed fittings still provides plenty of protection for your keys. It also looks relatively stylish and therefore it will not ruin the look of your home.
This Key Safe is available for just €34.00, which is a great price for such an excellent piece of security.
Burton Keyguard Digital XL
The most secure of our selection of Key Safes is the Police-approved Burton Keyguard Digital XL. This model has been certified by Sold Bronze Standards, which involved the Key Safe being tested against the use of a 12v drill. It has also been approved in the UK by the Secured by Design Scheme.
The Burton Keyguard Digital XL features a 12-buttoned combination locking feature, along with a waterproof casing to help protect it from the elements. You can store between five and seven keys with this Key Safe.
This key safe will cost you €54.00. A small price to pay for extra peace of mind.
